Hah make that A LOT of frustration when your busted in the paddok only 16 laps into a race.
Big thanks to Jason and Logan for all the fuel runs. We ate a ton more of it with an open track to run on. You guys made it easier for the rest of us to grab some shut eye.
Plenty of great battles out there on track even with only 13 cars. Jay managed to give the tirewall chicane at the exit of 9 a kiss down the whole side of the car. Carl and I found the importance of braking in a straight line at turn 12. Still after all that abuse the drive line of the car never once complained.

Had a great time this weekend. Now I have to make it out for a track day. That low speed ride along was just to much of a tease to not catch the bug.
As a correction, it was Mark and I that "massaged" the the dust cap. Nothing a little frustration and a 3 lb hammer couldn't fix. Looking forward to any pictures or video from the event. |

thanks!
We ended up 4th, and there was a pretty close battle for 3rd, 4th, and 5th from 6am till the finish at 2pm. At one point we were all on the same lap. We finished with about 815 laps completed someone said. Our only mechanical issue was a blown rear wheel bearing which happened 15 minutes after the start, and put us in last place, but with Joe's skills he had us fixed and back on track in 18 minutes, and we didn't have the correct dust cap but logan and jason adapted a different one to work. The bull ran great and we were all much faster than last year. Next race with a few more details taken care of we can actually go and try for the overall... |
