What is Solo?

"Solo" is the name used within the SCCA for Autocross.

Solo competition is defined as low speed, participant driving competition where one car at a time negotiates a prescribed course outlined with traffic pylons as quickly and cleanly as possible. During a run, a driver and his/her car are pushed to the limit. A time penalty is added to drivers' times when they hit an outlining pylon. While competing against the clock on the course, a driver is also competing against other drivers in his/her performance category.
